Creative writing workshop

How, through literature, can we turn our daily routines into fuel for our creative juices and uncover the book within.
The workshop will last five months and will consist of two-hour weekly meetings (one hour dedicated to the theory of literary composition and one to practice, with the analysis and editing of texts written by the participants).
The Program
- We are writing. From reality to the page: the lesson of everyday life.
- I cry and I laugh. Samuel Beckett's lesson.
- The Flowers of Evil: The Poet and Beelzebub. The Book as a Crown of Thorns in Word Form: Bret Easton Ellis.
- From literature to life and back again: David Foster Wallace's "The Endless Joke."
- It's easy to say "cursed": poets, writers and accountants.
- Readers on the Go. An In-Depth Course in Postmodernity: Don DeLillo,
- Farmed chickens. The craft of writing and writing as a craft.
- Talking about yourself. Hemingway and the question: what is truth?
- The Anomaly of the System: Poets. From Rimbaud to Henry Miller.
- A three is a three. Numbers and verses.
- The poet is a criminal. Villon and the others.
The training course consists of 20 2-hour sessions, totaling 40 hours of training. The cost of the seminar is €520, which can be paid in four installments of €130.

Davide Marchetta worked for over thirty years as a literary critic at the Gazzetta del Sud. After the novel “Sospetto di morte” with Rubbettino (1995), he published the poetry collections “Manuale di dolore” (Sciascia 2010) and “Stella perdente” (2016) for Plumelia, in the “Acheni” series directed by Aldo Gerbino.
