This book is intended as a tribute to one of the most important artists on the Sicilian scene.

Mimmo Irrera's evocative and intense photographs, which immortalize Bruno Samperi amidst little-known glimpses of the city of Messina and the related exhibition "Vissi d'Arte," organized by ARB in 2017 at the Monte di Pietà, are the starting point from which this volume was born.

Without any academicism and with simplicity, the portrait of the man and his personal vision of life and art is outlined, that art which for Bruno Samperi is life - because "painting is, even when you don't paint, life itself is a form of painting" - and with respect to which he presents himself as an "eternal apprentice" in constant search of that "color that never fades".
