WINTER CAMPUS

for children
from 6 to 13 years old
of all schools
The "Jambo! 2022/2023" project, which is both educational and community-based, was born following the successful summer experience of the "Batticinque" campuses in 2021 and 2022, in which students aged 6 to 13 participated in accordance with the Ministry of Education's "Summer School Plan 2021. A Bridge to a New Beginning."
“Jambo! 2022/2023” will take place every Saturday from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm at the Passamonte Institute.
The meaning of “Jambo”, a word with a particularly familiar and pleasant sound to pronounce, in the Swahili language is very similar to our “hello” or “good morning”.
“Jambo” is a typical African greeting used whenever you meet someone, and it is particularly used in everyday language as it is a term immediately capable of conveying friendliness and cheerfulness, which is why it is increasingly widespread and used even by those who do not perfectly master the language.
It will be a real winter campus with the aim of creating an Educational Pedagogical Project that can be translated by children into action in their daily lives.
Reflections on the educational emergency that concerns them and for which we, as adults, are responsible.
If the primary task of education is to shape humanity, the choice to educate implies taking on the responsibility of not leaving young people to their own devices and instead preparing them to renew a world that will be shared by all.
For this reason, the "Jambo! 2022/2023" campus, through its recreational activities, will focus on RESPECT, understood as a sentiment that values people, the environment, and rules. The aim is to educate students about non-violence, both physical and verbal, and about the role of rules as boundaries that serve to foster personality development.
