ATTENTION
Along with the PLOGGING competition in an adjacent area, we've organized recreational activities for children with disabilities. These activities will take place in the courtyard of the Multipurpose Center and will be coordinated by Dr. Maria Catena Silvestri's staff, who works with children with neurodevelopmental disabilities, and by volunteers from the ABC Amici dei Bimbi In Corsia association. We thank all those involved in this initiative for their commitment and dedication.

“PLOGGING ON THE VESPERS PATH”
November 13, 2022
PREMISE
Littering—the abandonment of small and very small pieces of waste—is a widespread phenomenon. It contributes at least 75% of the waste concentration in water bodies, particularly in the sea. Combating littering is a priority for global authorities and the European Union. Specifically, the European Union has designated May 10th as the European Clean Up Day.
Among the measures deemed most effective were awareness-raising and communication. Promoting environmental awareness through sporting events has become an increasingly widespread practice in recent years, leading to the drafting of the International Charter for Sustainable Sporting Events, or the Courmayeur Charter.

REGULATION
DESCRIPTION
The “PLOGGING SENTIERO DEI VESPRI” takes place on the San Rizzo hills with departure and arrival from the 4 “DON MINICO” roads with an obligatory stop at the church of Santa Maria della Scala “LA BADIAZZA” (see route at the bottom of the page).
The competition will be open to athletes over 18 years of age, and to children at least 10 years of age if they compete with at least one parent or a specifically authorized adult.
The event will take place on Sunday, November 13, 2022, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
The race will be held in a single heat lasting 3 hours with a total distance of 2 km,
The athlete will be provided with 3 bags identified with the same number as the bib, and will be able to collect any micro-waste they find along the way.
During the race you can leave the bags you have already filled, but to avoid disqualification you must bring all three bags with you to the finish line.
Upon arrival, a score will be calculated based on the time taken and the weighing of the waste, which the organization will carefully separate by type. The score will then be determined based on the CO2 conversion table.
A technical meeting will be held at 9:00 a.m. on November 13, 2022, to provide the necessary information for the smooth running of the event and the delivery of the following materials:
garbage collection bags matching the bib, safety gloves.
The race starts at 9.30am
The race ends at 12.30pm
Awards ceremony at 3:00 pm
Art. 1) PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS
The first “PLOGGING SENTIERO DEI VESPRI” will be held with the first THIRTY people registered on the official platform.
To participate it is essential:
- Be in good physical condition, confirmed by a non-competitive sports medical certificate or a self-certification. (See the downloadable form.)
- Attend the technical briefing to be held at 9:00 a.m. on November 13, 2022

- Sign the release and privacy policy (pre-authorized by completing the online form)
- PLOGGER athletes must carry a mobile phone capable of transmitting their GPS location. This is necessary for communication in the event of illness or disorientation.

It will also be useful for photographing bulky waste and reporting its location via GPS. This will allow us to create a map of the macrowaste, allowing for subsequent intervention.
- Have paid the registration fee of €3.00 (three/00 euros) for each participant, which is required for insurance coverage and the race pack.
