MILAZZO PLOGGING 2022

The “MILAZZO PLOGGING 24 AUGUST 2022” will take place on the stretch of beach in front of the MEDITERRANEA CLUB MILAZZO from where the start and finish will take place.

The competition will be held between athletes over 18 years of age.

The event will take place on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, from 4:30 pm to 9:00 pm.

The race will be held in four 30-minute heats of 2 km each, and on an individual basis with a maximum of 40 athletes.

The race with a total of 8 km is valid for the qualifications for the world championship which will be held in Sestriere on 30 September and 1 / 2 October 2022

In the FIRST heat (4.30pm – 5.00pm) the athlete will carry with him two bags with the same number as the athlete's bib, for the collection of the following waste categories: WET – GLASS up to the control station approximately 1km away and then return to the arrival station which coincides with the departure station, where the time taken will be recorded and the bags will be handed over for weighing and scoring.

In the SECOND heat (17.15 – 17.45) the athlete will win a single bag with the same number as the athlete's bib, to reach the following decline category PLASTIC AND METALS up to the control station approximately 1km away and then return to the arrival station which coincides with the starting station, where the time taken will be recorded and the bags will be delivered for weighing and scoring.

In the THIRD round (6.00 pm – 6.30 pm) the athlete will win a single bag with the same number as the athlete's bib, to reach the following waste category PAPER AND CARDBOARD up to the control station approximately 1km away and then return to the arrival station which coincides with the starting station, where the time taken will be recorded and the bags will be handed over for weighing and scoring.

In the FOURTH heat (6.45pm – 7.30pm) the athlete will carry with him a single bag with the same number as the athlete's identified bib, for the collection of the following category of UNDIFFERENTIATED waste until reaching the control station approximately 1km away and then return to the arrival station which coincides with the starting station, where the time taken will be recorded and the bags will be handed over for weighing and scoring.

A technical meeting will be held at 3:30 p.m. on August 24, 2022, to provide the necessary information for the smooth running of the event and to deliver the following materials:

• garbage collection bags matching the bib,
• safety gloves.
• Race starts at 4:30 pm - race ends at 8:30 pm - awards ceremony at 9:00 pm

To register you must:

1) Download the form in PDF format, fill it in completely, date it and sign it.

2) attach a copy of your identity card, health card, and medical certificate of good health suitable for NON-competitive sports, dated no more than one year before the race date.
